BRIEF PROFILE and LANGUAGES (for evangelization):
His conversion began in 1999. As a young man he was an ambitious artist, working on cinematographic sets for movies with big-name actors like Russel Crowe.  He did not believe in God, or understand the meaning of his life, when - while wandering the world in search of meaning - he had a providential encounter with some members of our young community while they were begging in Catania. This lit a new hope inside of him, soon to be transformed into a certainty: that Christ offers us the Resurrection and a blessed immortality! In addition to English, he speaks Italian and can communicate in French and Spanish. To read his testimony, click here.

BRIEF PROFILE and LANGUAGES (for evangelization):
His conversion began in 2001. Before coming to faith at 17 years of age, he searched for freedom among the anarchists called "libertari" in France, but he did not find true freedom there.  Then, attracted by the life of the Apostles and the first Franciscans, he searched for the right community for three years - until he met the founder of this community, who helped him understand the meaning of true freedom in gradually putting the Word of Jesus into practice (cf. Jn. 8:32). In addition to French, he reads and writes in Italian and English, speaks Spanish and German, and can communicate in Portuguese; intermittently, he is also studying Russian. BRIEF PROFILE and LANGUAGES (for evangelization):

Born and raised in a Baptist home, he believed in God throughout all his life. But he was living in unrepentant sin throughout high school and college. HIs life could be defined during this period as constantly pursuing “true love.” Very gifted in math and science he earned a bachelors in Electrical and Computer Engineering. But as he began to work towards his Masters in electrical engineering he began to question whether this was what would really fulfill him. This led him to seriously consider for the first time what God’s plan was for his life. To discover his calling he accepted a friend's invitation to start praying a daily “holy hour.” Through that, everything changed. He discovered the True Love he had been searching for. In October of 2017, he felt Jesus calling him to become catholic, to “drop his nets”(cf. Mt 4:20) as an engineer and be a full time Missionary with FOCUS (discipleship & bible study ministry with university students). While he was doing this he encountered the friars. Moved by their striving to live the gospel as it is written, he experienced a growing, burning desire to do the same, all for the greater Glory of God and the salvation of the most souls possible! In addition to English, he can communicate in Italian and (poorly) in Spanish.

Raised in a Catholic household, he was active in the Church throughout his life. Upon entering college at the University of Mississippi, his relationship with Jesus Christ was greatly strengthened, largely due to the role  FOCUS and the Ole Miss Catholic Campus ministries played in his life. During this time, he felt drawn to discern religious life, and, not by chance, met some members of the Poor Friars at the SEEK23 conference in St. Louis, MO. After making some shorter visits to the community, and completing his degree in Electrical Engineering, he began his initial six-month discernment experience in August of 2024.

BRIEF PROFILE and LANGUAGES (for evangelization):

Born youngest of 7 in a classic “big Louisianan Catholic Family”, he was raised amongst the sacramental life of the Church. As a teenager he prayed to do God’s Will but was living a worldly life. At the age of 19, he began to establish a prayer life and perceived God saying “Duc en Altum” / “Jump out of the boat!”. This encouragement from God brought him to work in ministry, do missionary work, a year of seminary, and begin graduate studies for counseling; when God asked him to pivot, and begin looking at a religious life calling. He began his initial six-month discernment experience in August of 2024 with the Poor Friars to discern God’s will for his life.
